I just found out about Cloverfield a few month ago when MI3 came out. No, I’m not watching the trailer before the screening of MI3, they not showing the teaser here in Malaysia, I’ve been watching it online. With all the hype buzz around the ‘mysterious movie’ online, I cannot, not noticed.

First thing that I thought when I watched the teaser, what the hell was it? Is it another monster movie, alien movie, terrorist movie or another US propaganda movie? The teaser didn’t even show the movie title. All that it says is, ‘From Producer J.J. Abrams’ and ‘In Theathers 1-18-08′. The teaser shows us New York city under an attack from who knows. (Typical Americans, always acting like they’re the victims). For me, it’s the best teaser trailer I watched in a long time (It remind me of Blair Witch Project). I was so intrigue and excited by it. Plus, it’s a J.J. Ambrams movie!! I LOVE J.J. Abrams. Who doesn’t love J.J. Abrams?? Alias, Lost, MI3 and even Felicity is good (never miss it in my school days).

Since then, I’ve been googling the mysterious movie by its so-called name, “Cloverfield”, “1-18-08″ and “J.J. Abrams movie”. Well it leads me to various info. This includes:

• ethanhaaswasright.com - I checked the website and even play the games!! It turned out that it just a site promoting a new game and has nothing to do with the movie.

• Slusho.jp - I don’t know where this comes from, but some people said that these “7-eleven slurpee”-like drink have a thing to do with the movie. Until today, I can’t still figured out what’s the connection between these two. The slusho site is cartoonish and i’m not pretty sure whether Slusho is a real product or not.  But I noticed that Kristen Bell character-Claire in Heroes drink Slusho in Episode 10 Heroes Season 2.

• Plenty of video analysis about the movie in Youtube.

• Plenty of blogs discussing about the movie.

Since I don’t have a life, sometimes I’m wasting my time try to find any new news about the movie. Until recently, the new trailer came out, before the screening of Beawolf (but instead, I watched it online again). From this new trailer, it seems to me that this movie is about a monster/infection/plague/virus movie. And now, we know for sure, the movie title is indeed “CLOVERFIELD”. Once again, I was hype by it.

Only 2 more month, and the movie will be open. After all the buzz, hype, crazy, intrigue promotion they’ve been throwing, J.J. Abrams should deliver a really really really good movie. I mean an excellent movie. Or else, it will be a flop or disappointment of a decade. Heheheheh…

Well for start, this is quite humiliating. Dont’ get the wrong idea, I’m not embarassed with the song. As a metter of it, I’m proud of it. I’m embarass singin the song. Well it’s a ‘girl power’ song, and obviously, I am a guy.

I wrote the song last year (2006) while walking to work. And the lyrics, it takes me like 30 minutes to write. That’s why the lyrics is quite main-main (playful) and merapu. But as time goes by, I think, i like the lyrics. Lain dari yang lain (I guess)..

Yes I know, it’s weird for a guy writing a ‘girl oriented’ song. But for me, lyrics is like movie script. It’s not a diary. You don’t have to experience it first hand to know what happen. Futhermore, there’s a lot of tv shows/movie you can watch, one must be livin under a rock to not know a bit bout girl’s feeling.

Lirik ni pasal independent girl, yang kita nampak mcm tough. Tapi sebenarnya, dia pun nak pakwe dia layan dia dengan betul. Tak “take her for granted”. Straight forward lyrics. Except for the part yg “mari kita bersiar, tambang engkau bayar“, tu sepatutnya a guy nyanyi, tapi echo-style.. mcm ‘gema’ kat belakang… I know, part tu lawak, so siapa ader idea lain, cuba suggest kat aku. I can’t think of any other catchy phrase than that. So kalau ada idea nak ubah lirik tu, bagilah kat aku… Please, top that.

For this song, I imagine it to be sing by rocker chick yg suara serak gila. She have to really shout (serak style), on the “salah sorang temanmu!!!” and “itu adalah kamu!!!” part. Meaning, kat part tu, dia kena jerit dengan ganasnya. Anyway, please please please comment. Nak kutuk pun boleh, tapi jangan banyak sangat. Don’t judge the voice (mmg buruk aku dengar), tapi judge the song. Adios….

Last Saturday, MTV Europe Music Award was shown on MTV Asia. I dunno when the exact date the show really was, but I don’t mind watching it late. Anyway of all the artiste perform I was really looking forward to Amy Winehouse performance. Will.I.Am & Nicole Schwazenegger (whatever), boring. Mika, boring. Foo Fighter, boring (lately, they becoming more dull and dull). Avril, oklah. (Hot is a nice track). Amy Winehouse, yes yes yes!!! Futhurmore, she’s gonna be singing one of my favourite track from the album, Back In Black.

Before this, I really love her performance on Letterman and MTV Movie Awards. I watch the ‘Rehab” performance at Letterman over and over again. So I expect, she’s gonna rock the house down. Finally after the performance, I was thinking, ‘Man, it is really really really ……… BAD’.

OMG, it was horrible. What the f***!! I’m sure, she took DRUG before the performance. She was really high during the performance. I think she’s at Planet Zargus or somewhere (don’t ask me where Zargus is..). She was sniffing and keep touching her nose. The thing addict will do. Tak percaya, just watch the clip below.

She sounded like she was constipated. Trying to release her ‘rock’ poo. She also remind me of ‘chicken in distress’. I was tring to promote her to my bro (since he never heard her song before), and after that performance, I don’t think, he like her. The only thing I enjoyed with the performance are the backup singers. Over the top dancing. Well, I’m still gonna love her music but Amy, please checkin into Rehab.

Hari ni merupakan hari bersejarah dalam hidup aku. Tak pernah-pernah aku botak, hari ni aku botak. Mula-mula tu masa nak masuk kedai mamak tu, cuak gak. Tapi aku pikir, buat je lah.. Mamak tu tanya, nak gunting brapa pendek, aku bukannye tahu… dia pun cakap 2 (2 inchi). Aku pun ye je lah… heheh.

Masa mamak tu tengah gunting, aku saspen gak nak tengok muka aku bila botak. Aku dapat bayangkan, mesti lawak gila. Dulu masa zaman aku sekolah, trend botak tgh hot. Aku rasa semua budak kat sekolah asrama aku botak. Aku rasa dalam 70% daripada budak laki skolah aku botak. (budak pompuan botak gak kot, mana tahu bawah tudung tu botak, hehehe). Aku antara spesis kat skolah aku yang gigih mempertahankan fesyen rambut panjang. Sampai dah besar ni pun, rambut aku tak pernah rambut pendek, panjang memanjang. So being botak is a big deal lah..

Anyway, mamak tu pun satu, dia pergi belasah botakkan aku belah belakang dulu. Jambul aku kat depan yang panjang tu, dia buat last-last sekali. So aku nak preview muka aku botak lambat sikit lambatlah. Tp finally, dia togelkan rambut aku. Aku ingat lawak gila muka aku, tp aku tgk mcm biasa jer… sentiasa tak hensem. Hehehe… takde beza pun. Cuma yg aku notice, kepala aku ringan lah.  

Lepas aku bayar mamak tu, masa aku balik naik motor tu, terasa angin bayu membawa diriku (cheh mcm lagu feminin plak). Terasa lapanglah dan memang best.  Sampai rumah, aku pun belek muka aku kat cermin and aku rasa, takderlah pendek sangat dua inchi ni. So bila abang aku balik, apa lagi, aku suruh dia cukur terus jer la. Alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biar sampai ke pangkal lengan. Togel jelah terus, sampai kulit je tinggal.

Only a few hours away, SPM 2007 will begins. All the hardwork and braincrunching (heheh) are going to be tested. Not only the students had their heart beating faster, mine too. For those who not know, SPM stands for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia/Malaysia Education certificate. It’s like high school diploma and it’s really important cause it a gate to your future.

This year, the first batch of student that I taught are gonna sit for their SPM. I have high hopes on them. Because this year is the first year that SPM is gonna be in English, I hope the question will be much easier compare to previous year. I remember exactly 10 years ago when I sit for my SPM. It was nerve wrecking. I’m sure they all gonna be relieve when Sejarah paper ended. I am!! It was like 65% of the burden on my shoulder were gone. Heheheh…

Basically, this exam is not only to test them, but also to test me. Whether I’m a good tutor or a lousy tutor. Whether they understand every single explaination that coming out from my mouth, or not. If you ask me two years ago, do you want to be a teacher. In a single beep I’ll answer, “Hell NO!!!”.. But after going through this thing, this teacher/tutor thing (whatever you wanna call it), I’m kinda like it. It’s all the thing that I like combining into one. Meeting new people, helping others, being childish, being creative and many more. Except travelling, I love travelling and teacher don’t travel that much.

But the thing I like the most is, feeling satisfied when you’re doing something right and you are great at it. All of my life, I never really great at one thing, always stuck being in the middle. Not that excellent, not that poor. But this, I think I am good at it.

Anyway, I really really really really hoping that all my student can answer the question “fluently” and I am desperate for them to get good marks. Pleaselah guys. Give me some A’s!!! I’m sure whatever happen, these kids are gonna become ’somebody’. For me, they are pretty decent kids. I hope they succeed not only in their SPM’s but also their life. And the most important thing “TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU MUST LOVE AND BE PASSIONATE IN ANYTHING YOU DO”. Period!!! Walla!!
