Walaupun quality recording tak sebagus dulu, I think this song somehow, in a weird way, suits you. It’s kinda fun hearing you sing this. Anyway, I dah detact your punya trademark in singing… “Wo wo wo”. Improvisation last-last tak berapa nak jadilah mate. Having said that, still a nice and a job well done. PS: I’m worried for you. Lagu ni instrumental lama sangat. Takut orang malas nak tunggu/dengar and boring. So hasilnya tak undi you.

At least peserta nak tak nak kena buat something different. Reez, you made a wise choice in improvisation. Ni lagu asli ni, kalau you improvise melampau, you destroy the authenticity of this song. I’m not being kejam, but you memang dah salah theme ni. Ni kan theme etnik. I don’t see any relevance between the song you’re choosing to the theme this week. Lagu ni etnik native-american ker?? I think it’s genre more to pop. Aiyyo.. If it’s up to me, you dah out. Back to singing. Rasa pernah mention kot, you punya tone mcm penyanyi lama-lama. Bukan penyanyi current. Memandangkan lagu ni, mood dia mcm lagu lama,(walaupun takderlah lama sgt lagu ni), so sesuai dengan suara you. Memang sesuai. And you nyanyi, i dapat rasa feel dia. Having said that, you nyanyi takder umpph.. How should i say this, takder attraction utk org dengar utk org dengar sampai abis. Kalau dengar sampai abis pun, maybe sebab lagu ni sedap. Nyanyi rilex sgt kot. Maybe tambah volume kot kat your singing. Overall, not bad. But not excellent. And borderline kat ordinary.
Well your first verse, you nyanyi, on the verge of being pitchy. Macam nak out of pitch, tp tak out of pitch. Unlike Reez, you tak buat lagu ni your own. Except maybe for the “ajak org menari” part. I agree with some comments from forummer that your song is quite monotonous (spelling betul ke tak ni). Ordinary jer, nothing great.

mizz_ford - Hati Kama (Siti Nurhaliza & Noraniza Idris)
For starters, your voice in this song sounded like Noraniza Idris. But I know, tu mmg suara you. Brave effort to take on this song. I know, susah kan nak rekod lagu ni. Pastu banyak layer. I wonder berapa lama you spend time… For me, memang almost perfect. Once again you not dissapoint me. Not being bias, but you are that good. Be proud of yourself. Your take on qasidah is, jadi… Memang jadi. Anyway, like mention before, if you practice a bit more, your high note will be perfect. In this song, sometimes it heard tersekat kat atas tekak. Mcm mana nak explain ni? Having said that, I really really like our performance this week. Almost perfect.
Walaupun you punya tone ni, ordinary jer, tp you pandai pilih lagu. Lagu ni memang sesuai degan sore you. What i noticed, your tone mcm penyanyi lama2, 70’s, 80’s. You one of the better idol this week. Cuma part tarik tu, mcm tak puas dengarlah beb. Tak rasa kepowerannya tu. Taram skit lagi.

Easily, the best performance of this week. Your diction is tip top, good. Backing vocal is marvellous. Your tone got unique distinct quality to it. Having said that, I kinda not really liking your high note. Tak kemas. Macam tersangkut kat tekak. But, I think, kalau you testing2 high note tu kat bilik air, boleh improve kot. Kena practice skit. Alamak, kurang bestlah berbanding minggu lepas. This song too big for you. Chorus pun lifeless. Kurang lunak. Verse dengan chorus nyanyi sekata jer. Mungkin kalau nyanyi semangat skit time korus, lg menarik kot.

Boleh tak masa start-start ko nyanyi lagu ni, aku teringat kumpulan Step (Gangstarz). Ada satu minggu, Step nyanyi lagu yg melodi lebih kurang sama dengan lagu ni. Pastu dah lama skit, aku terbayang album lawak Jalil Hamid. Nyanyian ko takderlah teruk.. tapi lagu ni make you sound bad. Ntahlah, aku tak tahu apa silap. Tapi memang macam tak kena. Maybe lagu ni best, tp the way you sing yg buat aku kurang berkenan. Tak tahu apa silap. Misteri ni, aku tak tahu apa yg silap… My advice, choose a better song next time.

Kudos for playing gitar. Tapi adakah ini org yg sama dengan minggu lepas?? Yg terlalu concentrate on playing gitar sampai nyanyi tak feel. You kena faham, voters ni kengkadang memberi komen yg kejam. This song memang kena dengan nyanyian you. Starting, your nyanyian quite sedap.. Your improvisation utk first and second verse/chorus pun ok… Chorus pun best, cuma ditenggelami suara backing vocal yg kuat. Tapi, that’s OK. First of all, sorry sebab thought you are a girl last week. Actually compliment ni… Sebab sore you unik. This week, apa yg boleh aku katakan, sore ko mmg tinggi. Tak sangka sungguh ko boleh hit that note. Terseksa tak nyanyi??? Walaubagaimanapun, low note ko hancur. Some part aku dengar mcm sore nenek tua. Mungkin ko tarik suara ko ke throat. Kalau ko forward kan sore ko, imagin sore ko pergi ke depan, mesti part tu ok skit kot. (Cheh, mcm Cikgu AF plak). Actually muntz, tone ko ni unik and note bad. Tapi uncontrollable. Ko macam terlalu sebarang. Cuba ko plan skit nyanyian ko. Ko nyanyi macam lari-lari lah. Macam keluar masuk rumah. Macam goyah. Cuba ko dengar balik nyanyian ko, mesti ko boleh detect silap ko. Anyway, high note tu memang aku impress..

Wah, direct competiton ni. Nyanyi lagu sama dengan orang lain. Key you rendah skit kan compare dengan sorang lagi tu..??? Takper, sbb sore ko macho lagi kot. Tone ko lebih manly. Intro memang ko nail. Alomost perfect… almost jer, but not. Tapi bila part tinggi, rasanya mcm ko terseksa nyanyi Especially chorus last-last tu.. Tapi still acceptable. Aku cadangkan, untuk ko nyanyi part tinggi dengan mudah, apa kata bila sampai jer part tinggi tu, ko piker bawah. Maksudnya, ko imagin part tu macam rendah. Mesti mcm senang skit ko nyanyi nanti. Tapi overall.. your version pada aku not bad.

Gara-gara cuba melondehkan seluar dan menonggeng ke arah penonton sambil menjerit perkataan ‘jilat, jilat’ ketika menyanyikan lagu Mari Nyanyi Menjilat, vokalis kumpulan underground Carburetor Dung dibelasah penyokong parti pembangkang yang menyaksikan persembahan mereka pada Perhimpunan Protes Sejuta Rakyat – Protes Sampai Turun di Stadium Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya, petang semalam.
Persembahan itu adalah program selingan sebelum ucapan membantah kenaikan harga minyak oleh para pemimpin pembangkang termasuk Penasihat Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Patutlah dulu pengkritik lambat hantar komen. Penat oo nak kritik. Jdf, minggu ni harap-harap buang 10 org terus. Kurang skit aku nak mengomen. Heheh.. (Gurau jer..). Overall…. Apsal budak laki semua mcm lebih kurang jer yerk… Mcm same singer nyanyi lagu berbeza. Ramai yg ada tone typical. Sedap tapi typical. Dalam ramai-ramai tu, only a couple stood out. Yg rest, so-so jer.. oklah.. aku pun bukan xpert sgt, so my komen is base on my personal opinion. Jgn marah kalau terasa aku komen lebih2. Aku pun bukannye best sangat kan??? Anyway, no ranking-ranking nor bintang-bintang. I don’t want you guys to know who I vote for.
GROUP A
Idol 01 - Always Be My Baby
Well, lagu ni simple jer melodi dia sebenarnya. And lagu ni takder tarik-tarik sgt. So for a song with a simple melodi like this, adalah tidak digalakkan untuk menyanyi “amik mudah”. Meaning, tak boleh nyanyi ikut melodi sebijik-sebijik tanpa extra umpph… Tak boleh plain sgt. Maybe next time, you kena attitude kan lagu nyanyian you. Maybe adjust phrasing ker, ataupun tambah vibrato ker. Ataupun you tekan kat certain part ker (growl kot omputih kata?). And one more thing, your voice naturally low in volume (atau maybe volume mic pelan sgt), so masa dengar tu mcm kurang semangat jer. That’s why you kena tambah all those thing mention above. Pitching takderlah lari teruk sangat, tapi mcm tak nak nyanyi jer.. Semangat skit babe, this is your chance nak prove kat semua org… Hope to see ya next week.
Idol 06 - Creep
Alamak, sekali you nyanyi lagu feberet aku masa kecik2 dulu. Heheheh… Tone dah mcm T-boz sesikit. Susah nak carik ni, perempuan suara garau. Aku suka lah.. (Perempuan kan??) Suara dah naturally berattitude, tp you plak nyanyi tak berattitude. Don’t worry too much masa singin. Have fun. Certain part diction silap skit. Maybe diction tak silap, tapi you tak clear kan sebutan. Example mcm “protected” and “attention”.. Part chorus tu, silaplah… Harmonization macam tak jadi lah. Maybe next time, you dynamickan skit nyanyian. Varietykan skit melodi tu. Be creative.
Idol 07 - My Way
Your voice suits this song. Tapi jgn bnyk sgt vibrato. Nanti org ingat mcm pakcik2 nyanyi kat kalaoke plak. Muda kan skit lagu ni.. Suara you dah lembut and feel mcm orang muda nyanyi. Tone sedap. Tapi disebabkan vibrato yg bnyk at certain part, terasa mcm org tua nyanyi. Maybe nak handle part tu, you tarik flat or tarik rata (I dunno the terms??), pastu kat ujung dia skit2 you tambah vibrato. Add a little bit only. High note pun sedap… Best best best.. Cuma mcm tu lah aku kata, kurangkan vibrato. And, this week is minggu memperkenalkan diri, first impression penting. So, patutnya pilih lagu yg current skit kot? My opinion je ok. Takper, next week buat best2 tau.
Idol 08 - Pemaisuri
First thing, you ada problem mcm aku kot masa CI 1 dulu. Mic problem. Adjust mic skit ok…. Mungkin mulut jgn dekat sgt dengan mic. Set that problem aside, boleh tak aku kata ko ni klone Urban_Iz. Cuma ko yg unpolish version and Iz is the polish version. Yor voice mmg kena dengan lagu mendayu-dayu/melancholi (macamana eja yerk??). ko nyanyi tak rushing, tapi ada rushing feeling to it. Hmm… mcm mana nak explain?? Kengkadang ko nyanyi tak masuk exact note… bukan ke laut terus, tapi skit jer.. dah cecah2 tepi pantai. Ko nyanyi on note, tapi tak tepat. Hmm… mcm mana nak explain ni??? This problem terjadi usually at part chorus. Berbeza dengan Idol sebelum ni, you plak takder vibrato. Actually lagu ni tak perlukan vibrato bebanyak kot. Sebab kalau vibrato bebanyak nnt tak sedap kot nnt. Tapi tak salah kalau tambah vibrato utk mengelakkan flat. Maybe next time, utk lagu2 genre mendayu mcm ni, you jgn nyanyi mendayu. Sebab lagu ni dah semulajadi mendayu, so kalau you tambah mendayu, lagi lah ter dayu dayu… Anyway, pada aku ok, Cuma kena mcm biasalah, macam aku mention kat org sebelum you, kena tambah perasa skit.
Idol 10 - Clocks
Wah, bold nyer, pompuan nyanyi lagu clocks. Kudos. First thing, masa between verse tu.. you improvise “uuuhhhh aaaaaahh…”. Masa “aaaaaahhh…” tu mcm pelik lah. Macam you terpaksa jer nyanyi “aaaaahhhh….” tu. Sebab masa tu you flat sgt kot. Mungkin you boleh breathy kan skit sore you. Sebab muzik lagu ni very soothing. Kalau you dapat breathy kan skit nyanyian you (paham kan?? Nyanyi mcm tengah bernapas), mesti best. Walaupun I kata song choice you bold, tp utk competition, technically, lagu ni verylah easy sgt utk nyanyi. Kalau nak masuk competition, mesti org expect vocal acrobatic. Betul tak? Masa part muzik lama2 tu, you tak tahu nak buat apa kan?? Masa tu mungkin boleh goreng skit falseto dan kawan2 dia…. Tapi jgn lebih2 sgt. Next time, tunjukkan skit kemampuan you…. I know you can.
Idol 11 - Don’t Know Why
Excellent singin. Nice. You tahu main2 dgn singin. Meaning, you tahu varietykan the way you singin. Aku rasa, setakat ni, sore budak pompuan yg paling aku suka kat SYMT ialah sore ko kot. (ada kot plak..). Maybe your voice suits this song sgt2. Nak tahu gak your singin other than Norah Jones number. Tak tahu nak komen apa, sbb mmg best, just can’t wait your take on lagu lain.
Idol 14 - Tentang Kita
Lamanya muzik intro. Tertunggu aku nak dengar sore ko.. kenapa kat depan tak nak bubuh something… uuhh ker, apa ker…. Sebab ni singin kompetion, bukan konsert you, so… kalau org malas dengar, dia dengar intro lama sangat, nnt dia skip jer. Abis you ilang undi. Kenapa masa awal, sebutan “T” you mcm mat salleh. Heheh.. No worry. Ok jer… Wow, siap ada sajak, mcm Af plak aku rasa. Part last2 siap ada nangis2. Benda2 ni, kalau visual lagi bagus kan. Hmm… (For your guys info, dulu masa CI1 aku siap ada bg ucapan lagi dalam lagu, tapi jdf yg jahat itu suruh edit). Sore ok, tapi masa part2 last tu, serak buat ker? Serak ori…??? Sebab mcm you nak tekan. Mungkin telinga aku salah dengar kot. Having said that, nyanyian ko best pada aku. Not really banyak cacat cela. Boleh didengar berulang kali. One more thing, pada aku, kalau nangis time nyanyi ni (non-visual), cuba check menghitung hari version Melly Goeslow…. Boleh tak kalau aku nak cakap lagi satu benda… Edit your sajak and nangis, kalau over, nanti kedengaran poyo. Orang geli nak undi. (jgn merajuk yer aku cakap ni)
Respek, main instrument sendiri. Memang respek and jeles kat ko. Tapi petikan gitar you masa verse awal2 tu membuatkan lagu ni mcm happy song. Tung tung tung… Mungkin you boleh petik skit2 jer kot. Jangan petik kuat sgt part tu. Light light touch jer.. (chewwah, boleh plak aku ajar org petik gitar???!!!). For me your nyanyian kurang feel. You nyanyi straight forward. Mungkin boleh buat crying sensation or macam begging ker. Masa part tinggi, walaupun tak hit the right note, tp still acceptable for early stages. Next time know your limit or be prepare utk part tinggi. Maybe sebab ko main instrument tu, ko tak prepare and tak boleh nak inject feel. Maybelah….
Idol 03 - Hanya Ingin Kau Tahu
Lagu apa ni ek? Tak pernah dengar… sedap plak.. Anyway, mesti korang boring kan, kalau pengkritik asyik cakap nyanyi takder feel…. Padahal korang nyanyi masa tuh dah frust nonggeng abis dah. Tetap dia kata takder feel…. Kengkadang org, dia tak leh nak shows feel dia dr nyanyian. So macamana nak buat.. That’s why kena tambah dynamic, crying sensation, begging sensation.. Sometime kena nyanyi breathy skit.. sometime kena nyanyi mcm tak cukup nafas. Sometimes kena nyanyi potong phrasing. Sometime kena growl.. Sometime kena jerit. Sometime kena whisper. Pokoknya, jgn straight forward. Nyanyian you ok. Cuma takder all the above yg aku ckp tu. Make it interesting next time.
Idol 04 - I’m Yours
Oit, lagu fav aku ni.. Jason Mraz!!!! Among my fav artist. Yeay!!!!!! Sekali awek plak nyanyi…. Best2. Diction mmg on spot. You are among my top 2 along with awek Norah Jones. You pandai mengdynamic kan suara you. Ada certain part, you goring lain skit, ada certain part you goring lain plak. Best…. Lagu soothing, sore pun soothing. Nothing much to comment, just damn excellent. Aku suka. Chewwah!!!! Boleh kenal?? Ahaks!!! Sore you mcm penyanyi jingles. You shared the same spot as Norah Jones as one of the best female vocal in SYMT board. PS: Lagu ni mmg ada bunyi ayam ke kat belakang?? Tak perasan…. Ke rumah you banyak ayam…. Lagi satu, lupa plak nak mention, backing vocal pun on spot.
Idol 05 - Mungkin
Anuar Zain. Baru jumpa semalam masa dia rehearsal kat Sure Heboh. Takderlah minat sgt… Anyway, mic pun problem ker? I perasan, every time you sampai part “Mungkin”, you mcm tak masuk note. Kedengaran you nyanyi mcm malu2. Maybe mic kot yg buat macam tu… Jgn potong between sukukata. Jgn ber… sa…ma… se.. ja… ti… me..nan… ti…. tahan napas skit. 2nd verse you lari timing. Selamat sempat cover. Part “cinta” yg you tarik tu pun x sampai. Mmg off key terus. Maybe this song too big for you. Mungkin sbb you malu2 nyanyi, tu yg off key tu. Let go!! Let go!!! Masa yg last2 you nyanyi improvise, I terasa you nyanyi teragak2 nak improvise mcm mana. Or maybe you malu2 kot… Maybe kalau tak sampai tu, you improvise. Buat style you. Jangan ikut Anuar Zain. Harap next week, kuatkan vocal (adjust mic). Ada improvisation you tak dengar. Hmmm Nice try. Good luck.
Idol 09 - Here Without You
Your voice too baik for this song. Kurang attitude and “bunga” for this type of song. You nyanyi on pitch. Diction OK. Cuma, like mention before, you sound too baik for this song. Your are more too pop. Although you ada serak skit jer, but still.. you sound too pop. Better next time, choose pop. You’ll be great in that genre. Having said that, walaupun ada skit jer your pancit, still overall.. mmg best….. Worth a second hearing. Good job.
Idol 12 - Addicted
You nyanyi memang bunyi org melayu nyanyi lagu omputih. Takper.. No prob. Kenapa mic kejab kuat, kejab pelang. Masa chorus tu, note mcm tak masuk. Dengar mcm you tersiksa gak… Masa “It’s like I’m not me” tu, pitching lari babe. Salah pilih lagu kot. Masa bridge tu, diction bnyk lari. Overall… kalau aku cakap ko jgn marah yer.. MMg bnyk pitching la… Aku rasa, minggu depan, ko kena tone down skit. Kena pilih lagu yg tak tinggi sgt. Test market dulu mcm mana. Jgn terlalu nak impress tanpa memikirkan capability kita. Anyway, nice try. Cuba lagi. Talent is there, tp kena practice.
Idol 13 - Hurts The Most
Malanglah nasib you, sebab peserta terakhir… Heheh.. kena komen kau kau dengan aku. Heheh…. Takderlah, jgn risau. For me, your tone too thin, tak cukup density. Kurang tebal. Kedengaran mcm you nyanyi selamba sgt pun ada gak. Yg bridge yg ckp laju2 tu, patutnya kat situ tambah attitude. Bg taram skit. Bnyk boleh improvise kat part tu. Kalau you buat, the way you buat tu, terasa mcm cakap jer plak… lepas tu lagu ni too rendah for your voice kot. Kalau naik key skit, rasanya you mcm boleh kot. Maybe you rendahkan key sebab you nak supaya sampai part jerit kan. That’s why through out the song you Nampak terlalu bersahaja. Anyway, part tak jerit tu, 75% of the whole song. So mana lebih bagus, sedap kat 75% or sedap kat 25% jerit tu. So jgnlah rendah sgt key.. My suggestion jer… Hehehhe.. jgn marah.
Have anyone heard Butterfingers new single?? 1000 tahun (Ku mahu Hidup). If you’re not, then you’re missing something very great. (at least for me..). The song remind me of Jeff Buckley with a touch of UK Band. Very very very nice. Nitrus new song is also good. The title: Sisa. Really love it.The band’s other single”Resah” has an excellent video. You guys should check it out.
These two song, 1000 tahun and Sisa, currently are on top of my playlist. Plus “Kuala Lumpur” by Hujan and Hujan’s cover version of Mospeada theme song. Nice….
And quite embarass to admit this, but Nubhan’s new song “Ada Untukmu” is damn good. The melody fits the lyrics wonderfully. Don’t judge me for loving this song….
For my English playlist, right now i’m all about Gavin DeGraw and One Republic. Gavin DeGraw album is all that I hoped for from Gavin after a long absent. And Thank God!!! One Republic are smart enough to make Say (All I Need) as a single. That is my favourite song from the album anyway, when the album first came out.
PS: Does anyone know what’s the Malay song from One Buck Shot call? That one also good.. but donno the title. Tell me lah if you know.

Sofieya belum mantap

Ternyata kumpulan wanita tunggal, Sofieya terpaksa mengakhiri perjuangan merebut hadiah RM100,000 apabila mendapat undian paling rendah. Turut berada pada kedudukan tiga paling rendah ialah kumpulan Farhan serta peserta solo, Mohamad Aimad Mohd Sidek.
Sofieya yang dianggotai Nurul Izzah Radzi, Nurul Ain Jeffrie, Yyanty Nur Ain Jeni dan Norul Huda Arsah mempertaruhkan lagu popular Raihan, Senyum. Nyata persembahan empat gadis manis ini gagal menarik perhatian penonton di rumah.
Farhan yang dianggotai Mohamed Anwar Ibrahim, Ahmad Zuhaidi Abdul Aziz dan Mohd Faizal Zainal masih selamat dengan mempertaruhkan lagu Iman Mutiara (Raihan) manakala Aimad dengan lagu Kasih Kekasih (In Team).
Program realiti yang mempertaruhkan lagu keagamaan ini disiarkan di TV9 setiap Sabtu, jam 8.30 malam. Persembahan peserta diadili berdasarkan 50 peratus menerusi SMS dan selebihnya penilai juri profesional, Farihin Abd Fatah, Amran Omar dan Azmee Manap.
